| AMD Processor Freeze Fix |
| With help from AMD and Gromacs developers, Stanford has a released a beta version of the Gromacs core, v1.56, which seems to have fixed the CPU lockup issue in a variety of AMD processors. And as a bonus, the core is a 2-3% faster for both Intel and AMD users. Upgrade early and get a jump on the competition. Stanford |

| | F@H Client Version 4.0 Released |
From the Folding@Home News page.
12/19/2003 We've released the next major revision of the client...
To update the GUI or Screen Saver clients, download and run the installer. The CLI executable may be dropped in or renamed like previous updates. v1.55 is the latest version of the Gromacs core. This is a feature upgrade, not a performance upgrade for the Windows and Linux users. MAC users get features and a much needed performance boost.
And for the Holidays, Stanford has made F@H Thank You certificates. See the link next to your points total on your Stanford F@H stats page. |

| | TERminating SETI |
| Noticed our Folding@Home production is down? Not to worry. Our TER-mates are supporting the ARS Community by participating in a SETI@Home Gauntlet. See ARS article SETI@Home: Our flagship is sinking. Because S@H is close to ending Phase I, we wanted to be sure it went out with a bang, and with ARS in first place. It also helps promote Team Egg Roll for those leaving S@H when Phase I is over. We will be back Folding again after New Years. Read more about our TERminators team in the ARS Open Forum, and see the gauntlet stats. Happy Holidays. |
